The weather is changing by the day, and your garden is too. It may feel like it’s 50 degrees one day and 85 the next, and as the days get longer you are hopefully feeling the itch to get your gardening gloves and do some yard work. Minick has you covered for whatever the season brings, and whichever project you feel like tackling first.

Most of our customers are seeking supplies for these common seasonal projects:

  • Transplanting trees: if you have been planning to relocate a tree, do so before it starts sprouting again. When a tree is dormant it does not require a lot of water from the ground, so you can dig out and relocate the root system without cutting off the tree’s water supply. It’s also a good time to prune if you want to.
  • Get your garden beds ready for the year by adding some good compost to replenish nutrients to the soil and improve its structure. Make sure the compost is mature, fluffy and with no chunks in it – that’s the best compost to enrich your soil and improve both its water retention and drainage properties (and our compost is currently on sale!).
  • New pots, decorative rock & mulch to refresh your gardens, increase your curb appeal, and perk up flower beds.
